08/12/2008 - College PREP - Wilmington, DE Andrew is a young, lean infielder with average tools. He has an accurate arm and pretty good lateral movement. He hustles around and has a good idea with his hands. Footwork is a bit flat right now and he could stand to be more aggressive with them. At the plate, Andrew keeps his eyes down and uses the whole field. His approach is out and around the ball right now and he doesn't get anything out of his lower half. Needs some refining of mechanics at the plate and to add strength overall. Effort and intensity are solid which give he a chance to improve and make an impact at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
