05/11/2008 - College PREP - Olympia, WA Andrew is a small player but he is a talented hitter. At the plate, Andrew has a compact swing with bat speed and power. He extends through the ball and can use the entire field. He tends to drop his back side and shoulder a little which result in too many fly balls. Even still, he is an above average hitter. At 2B, Andrew has soft hands and a quick transfer. He feeds the ball well on double plays and is very athletic in the infield. He needs to follow his throw to increase momentum to target.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
