12/20/2014 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Austin is an athletic OF that has above average tools defensively and at the plate. He hustles all over the field and displays his love for the game. In the outfield, he is very aggressive to the baseball working light on his feet. Ball is quick/clean from glove to hand as he fires accurate/strong throws to his target. Offensively, he takes a level hack and hits line-drives to all parts of the field. He engages his lower 1/2 and has excellent barrel accuracy. His athleticism will not only make him a solid defender but will also make him a threat once on base. Austin has skills with a high ceiling.

11/23/2014 - College PREP - Tomball (Houston), TX Austin is an athletic LH swinging OF who has a solid all-around skill-set. Offensively, he shows good separation working back into a strong loaded position. Swing path is level/direct to and through the zone as he creates extension through contact. He hits the ball where it's pitched with the ability to use the entire field. Increased power potential is there with more lower 1/2 drive. In the OF, Adams takes a quick first step with good angles to his right and left. He gets into position behind the fly-ball, gathers well and plays through it aggressively. Exchange to quick/clean as he fires strong throws with carry into his target. A top of the line-up type of guy - Austin has the skills that will produce on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
