05/18/2008 - College PREP - San Antonio, TX Bailey is a tall strong player with a solid delivery and arm action. On the mound, Bailey has a good direction and repeatable mechanics. He is around the plate with most pitches although his CB needs some work on consistency. His finish could be a little stronger to add finishing power, but his delivery is slightly above average. At the plate, Bailey has balance and an idea of how to hit. He gets his bat through the zone but tends to get uphill with his shoulders. Once he learns to use his body weight and level his shoulders out, his hitting grades should improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
