08/24/2008 - College PREP - Farmingdale, NY Brandon is a young RHP that shows a solid delivery with solid balance and tempo. He has deception and hides the well. He throws from a low ' slot and displays arm side run on his baseball with sinking action. Off speed pitches are slightly average. Breaking balls shows a 10/4 shape, tight spin and hard break. Changeup has sinking action with solid average command. Trigo does need to get on a strict long toss program to aid in developing more arm strength. With 2 years to further, Brandon has potential with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
