07/19/2008 - College PREP - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Brian Taricska is a tall projectable pitcher. On the mound, Brian has a strong arm and a good feel for the CB. His delivery is balanced and his arm action is loose and easy. He works quickly on the mound and can increase his power and torque by utilizing his lower half some more. His SL and CB are too similar at the present time, but his CH sinks nicely. Brian can pitch and with some long toss to increase arm strength, he can produce at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
