01/16/2015 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Bryce is an athletic (5'9"/175) 2B who swings it from the left side. With the bat, he shows a balanced approach with patience, tracking the ball into the zone. Swing is quick through a level path as he connects consistently, hitting line-drives. Defensively, Newman hustles around the GB with smooth actions. Lateral movements are quick as he makes the plays and gets rid of the ball efficiently. A top of the batting order type - Bryce has the skill-set that will provide success.

05/23/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Memorial Day Classic 16U Participant Short, compact swing. Hits ball to all fields, makes consistent hard contact. Doubled to the opposite field over the LF head, and lined a sharp single to the RCF gap. Aggressive on the bases, got good reads and jumps, and has base stealing ability. In the infield, has quick feet with good range. Makes the backhand play look routine. Shows a strong arm after a clean exchange and turns the double play well. Is the type player that makes things happen.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
