05/25/2008 - College PREP - Nashville, TN Camron shows as a two way player on the mound and in the middle of the infield. On the mound, he shows a solid average fast ball on a strong downhill plane. Off speed pitches are average to near average and needs some polish and further development. Arm action is loose, long and easy. In the infield, Sherwood shows solid average ability. Foot speed is quick and does a nice job of moving laterally through his lower half. Would like to see him present his glove down and out in front of his body, currently ball gets deep dictating play on routine ground balls. At the plate, he shows slightly average ability. Flashes bat speed through a level swing path and some pop to the pull side. He does need to work to develop a more simple set up and approach. Sherwood has ability with a lot of room to improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
