07/25/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Elizabethtown, KY Carson is a solid 3B/RHP with a solid future in baseball. At third base, he demonstrates smooth and fluid actions, with active feet that help him square up ground balls and play through with his body. His glove work is firm and presents well out front, and he moves well laterally, with his range improving as he enhances his foot quickness. At the plate, Carson's quick hands work through an aggressive swing path, allowing him to stay inside the ball and use all fields effectively with a line drive approach. At a recent event, he went 5-for-10 with a double, triple, and a home run, showcasing his offensive potential. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 70-71 mph, and his breaking ball, with good depth, sits at 58-60 mph.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
