05/25/2008 - College PREP - Nashville, TN Chandler has an outstanding athletic looking body that shows well on the mound. Arm strength is above average for his age. Fast ball is solid average and works on a downhill plane. Breaking ball is average showing an 11/5 shape with tight spin but does need more extension out front with the pitch. Arm action is long, loose, and easy and displays solid command of his pitches. McCauley has an upside with a high ceiling. He is young and will catch the eyes of the college coaches with his abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
