06/27/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Charles is a skilled 2-way player as a RHP/OF. On the mound, this righty works to a tall balance point and has smooth separation. He fires his FB from a 3/4 arm slot and free arm action. He gets good glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 57-59 mph filling the zone up with strikes. In the OF, Charles takes a quick first step and tracks down fly-balls with speed. He has a clean exchange to throw and fires the ball accurately into his target. With the bat, Charles maintains a balanced setup with rhythm to load. He squares the ball up consistently and drives it to the gaps. Continuing to work on the following will help to improve skills on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
