11/06/2014 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Christopher showed his best ability to date at the Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. Defensively, he flashed pops in the 2.2 range and received with his thumb under the ball. He keeps the ball in front and worked to drop quicker to block by anticipating the ball in the dirt. Offensively, he is patient at the dish to get his pitch and has a contact approach. More of a load with his hands will help to get them going in the swing to increase bat speed and pop. Overall - Leporati is an intriguing player that has shown growth and we look forward to tracking his progress over time.

03/09/2014 - College PREP - Hightstown, NJ Christoper is a R/R backstop who works hard. At the plate, this RH swinger shows a open setup with a strong base. He gets to a strong launch position and jumps on pitches on the inner 1/2. Extension through the zone will result in increased power. Defensively, he sits in well and tracks the ball into his mitt. He has a clean exchange getting the ball down to 2B in 2.38. Increased arm strength and using his legs more through the throw will help to lower pop times. Only a 2017 grad - Christopher still has a lot of time to develop his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
