05/11/2008 - College PREP - Olympia, WA Connor is a tall thin player with above average ability. At 3B, Connor shows arm strength and soft hands. He gets to the ball and stays balanced throughout the fielding process. He needs to follow the throw and play through the ball to increase momentum to target, but he is a solid defender. At the plate, Connor displays good lower half explosion and he extends nicely. He has some pop to the pull side but gets a little uphill with his swing. Connor still has plenty of time to improve and with his talent he should be able to do so.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
