01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Daniel is an athletic kid who plays both the infield and the outfield. Arm is a bit stiff, and he will have to continue to lengthen and loosen his arm stroke. Would like to see him prep his feet a little bit more going into the play as well. Tended to start flat-footed which made his actions overall more stiff. Swung the bat well in Tucson showing batspeed and a good feel for the barrel. He could get more out of his lower half but has above average power. Had two hits in six game at bats.

01/11/2008 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2008 Daniel is an athletic player with good hitting skills. At the plate, shows quick hands and balance. Hits a lot of line drives and gets out of the box quickly. Has some pop to the pull side. Has a chance to contribute immediately at the next level on the offensive side. At SS, has some range and soft hands. Needs a good long toss program to increase arm strength. Might move to 2B in future. Also needs to stay on balls of feet instead of heels to better adjust to bad hop. Dan has a lot of athleticism and plenty of time to get better.

07/18/2007 - National Tryout - Irving, TX Parham is an athletic player with a lean, athletic body. Showed a quick bat at the plate, and a good overall stroke. Hit from a wide stance with a no stride type approach. Can improve load and lower body action. Hands worked fairly well in the infield and he moved well. Can get more under control and improve overall footwork and fielding position. Showed similar defensive ability in the outfield. Arm strength and arm action are among biggest areas for improvement.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
