01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Declan is a 2027 OF/RHP who showcased his skills at the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. In the OF, he tracks the ball well and works through the baseball. He has a clean arm stroke in back, with 3/4 release point coming forward, and an arm velocity up to 82mph. Made accurate throws into infield with good life on ball. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance with loose hands. A controlled load with good bat to ball skills. A short barrel path enables him to hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. He separates his hands on-time and keeps his eyes level. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 77mph, and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball. In 3 innings of work, he punched out 4 batters and didn't allow a run. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Declan making huge strides on the baseball diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
