01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Denzell continues to show steady improvement in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has really improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.84 runner. He utilizes his quick feet well in coming to get and playing through balls. Range is a plus and he move well laterally in covering some ground. Arm strength is present but does need to get on a strict long toss program to continue to further develop more arm strength and carry on throws. Hitting abilities also have improved now showing above average abilities. Bat speed is present and he shows a solid feel for the barrel. Campbell has the makings to be a solid OF at the collegiate level as he continues to develop.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
