05/25/2008 - College PREP - Nashville, TN Devin has a well above average athletic looking body for behind the plate. Arm strength is near above average showing carry and accuracy to his target. He does show a low arm slot and needs better footwork to throw in order to drop pop times. Devin does need some fundamental work and polish in his receiving and blocking skills. At the plate, Stark shows average ability and power at the plate. He does have good rhythm and balance to his swing but spins off a lot of pitches with his upper and lower half. He may look to possible move to the outfield due to his arm strength and above average foot speed. Stark has athletic ability with a lot of room to further improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
