01/28/2018 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Dominic is a broad, strong 1B prospect who looks the part on the field. He can pick it at first with smooth hands and fluid footwork around the bag. He shows a good pre-pitch routine and moves well laterally to work around the ball. His hands are soft to field and he picks the ball well to receive at the bag. At the dish, his mechanics are simple to load and launch as he can use all fields for base hits. He gets on plane early and keeps the bat level through the zone to deliver the barrel and make consistent, solid contact. Extending through the ball more will unlock more pop and lead to extra base hits. Dominic is a player we look forward to watching as he continues to develop.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
