08/12/2008 - College PREP - Wilmington, DE Dylan is a lean outfielder with good speed and aggressive, athletic actions on defense. He has slightly above average carry on his throws and takes good angles to the ball. His arm slot needs to stay up on top and he needs to get behind fly balls more consistently as well. At the plate, Dylan has a level swing path and a spray approach. He squares it up fairly consistently, but he can get more out of his lower half. Would like to see him loosen his grip and load straight back instead of wrapping and barring. He will see improvements as he gets stronger. Has a good feel for the game right now.

02/09/2008 - Accelerated Hitting Mini Camp (Commuter) Dylan showed good bat speed, a sound lower 1/2, and good pop when he centers the ball. He needs to stay level with his approach to improve consistency.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
