07/19/2008 - Team One North 2008 - Scouting Report Eric Husni is a strong player with potential. Behind the plate, Eric shows soft hands when receiving and he gets down quickly when blocking balls in the dirt. His arm is strong and accurate, but his footwork could use some quickness drills. Staying low during throws to 2B might help increase momentum to target. At the plate, Eric has ability from both sides of the plate. From the right, his swing is level with some pull side power. He centers the ball well and has bat speed. From the left side, Eric's swing is a little more limited. He starts to fly open a bit and needs to let the ball travel to hit it where it is pitched. He does keep the swing level and hits line drives.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
