01/26/2014 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Evan is a RHP who has a tall pitcher's frame (6'5"/180lbs). He gets to a tall/controlled balance point, has good glove side lead, and works in-line toward the dish. FB jumps out of his hand and gets on hitters at 85 mph. Breaking ball has good depth and is thrown with FB arm speed. CH shows sink and is good out pitch. His arm works fluidly as he mixes to both sides of the plate. More leg drive off of the rubber will help raise velocity on FB as he has more in the tank. A tall RHP with a high ceiling - Evan has a bright future in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
