College PREP - Columbia, MD Frank is a 2B with a ton of athletic, possibly pro potential in the middle of the infield. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.87 60 time. He utilizes his quick athletic feet in showing a great approach in coming to get the baseball in the infield. He moves well laterally showing great range. He shows plus, quick actions with his feet and hands. Glove action is soft, sure and solid in making all the plays. He displays a solid backhand. At the plate, Frank shows above average ability and power. Bat speed is a plus and he keeps hands inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. He shows a great feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off his bat. He can drive the baseball to all fields. Desico will get a ton of looks from the college coaches and pro scouts. He gets it done in the infield and at the plate.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
