08/08/2008 - ACR-E - Maryland - 7 Greg increased his fielding and hitting grade while at this event. At SS, throws had decent carry with accuracy. Fielded ball out front and showed soft hand that led to decent exchange. Showed good range because of his good footwork. During throws, locks his front leg just before release. Long toss will help develop more velocity. At the plate, had ability to find the barrel. Kept his head on ball and showed good bat speed with ability to use all fields throughout the workout. Was off-balanced at times which made him reach for ball away. When he utilized his lower half properly, showed good pop.

12/27/2007 - Christmas Camp and Tournament - 2007 Gleicher is a young middle infielder with some life in his body and actions. He showed bat speed at the plate, along with some natural ability to work with. Stroke tended to get a little long, causing a notable pull type stroke. Can work to relax elbows and to shorten route to contact. In the infield, he has natural quickness. Can work to slow down and remain under control, will help with the precision of hit footwork and glove action.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
