11/09/2008 - College PREP - Austin, TX Harrison is a 2B with a solid, athletic looking body that does show projection as it continues to physically mature. Foot speed is solid average and he utilizes his feet well in coming to get and playing through the baseball. He throws well on the run, maintaining body control. Arm strength is solid average and does need to get on a strict long toss program to aid in developing more arm strength. His throws show carry and accuracy and will be more efficient through a quick transition is his transfer / exchange. He centers balls well and shows a solid glove action. At the plate, Waneck has average ability with slightly average power. He has some leverage in his swing with a big finish. Swing path is long due him reaching with an aggressive approach. As he learns to let the ball travel it will enable him to keep hands inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. Harrison has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
