01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Hunter showed well as a talented 2 way player with good instincts on the baseball field. On the mound, he completed 2 innings striking out 1 and was a ground ball machine. He holds runners well, has a good feel for changing speeds and stays under control at all times. As an OF, Hunter showed an efficient first step, good routes/angles to the ball and a clean exchange with solid arm strength. He works in an athletic fielding position and keeps his hips low on his ground ball approach before playing through. At the plate, Hunter generates explosive bat speed, has centered balance and a line drive path with fluid rhythm/timing. He has quick hands, maintains a solid base and attacks the ball aggressively through the zone. Overall hunter is an explosive athlete with a projectable frame and tools to develop. In the correct system, his development will be rapid and fun to watch.

11/03/2012 - 2012 Team One Futures Series Texas Hunter has a tall, lean, athletic frame. He has tremendous foot speed that he showed with his 6.67 60 yard dash time. In the outfield, he has an easy approach. Takes good angles and routes to the baseball. At the plate, he takes a very aggressive swing and stays inside the ball very well. Good opposite field approach with gap to gap power. On the mound, he has an easy arm stroke with his fastball ranging from 82-86mph. Hides the ball well and showed long arm action. His breaking ball has a good late 11/6 sharp break. Knows how to pitch.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
