07/08/2015 - National Tryout Plus - Anchorage, AK Jeffrey is a hard worker who continues to develop on the diamond. Defensively, he sits in with athletic actions and a wide base. He has a quick exchange and gains ground while putting his throws on the bag (pop times now as low as 2.12). With the bat, this righty has a balanced setup with rhythm in his hands. He likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and pulls it with some pop. Swinging on a shorter/more direct path will result in even more pop off of his barrel. Jeffrey is a defensive specialist who will find success on the diamond.

12/27/2014 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jeffrey is a R/R catcher who is a solid defender. Behind the dish, he sits in well and tracks the ball into his mitt. He receives with a soft mitt and sticks pitches in the zone. He is quick around pitches in the dirt and centers the ball off of his chest. Exchange is clean with pop times now as low as 2.25. With the bat, this RHH shows an open stance with a solid base. He is short to contact as he likes the pitch on the inner 1/2, pulling it down the line. Improved balance throughout the entire swing will result in more consistent/hard contact. Jeffrey is a good teammate who works hard on his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
