06/13/2010 - College PREP - Chicago, IL Jesse is a young (2012 grad) SS. At SS, he showed an accurate arm and was aggressive in getting to the fielding position. As his body matures, so will the strength in his arm. Presenting his glove early and fielding "through" the ball with active feet and momentum can also help his arm strength at SS. Offensively, he has a good set up and tracks the ball well. His front shoulder tends to fly open which slows his bat speed and drags the barrel. This also causes barrel accuracy to decrease. Overall, Jesse will benefit greatly from a long toss program, footwork routine and the development of a good defensive and offensive fundamental approach. He is only a 2012 grad so there is a lot of time to build on strengths and attack weaknesses.
