08/03/2011 - Pirate City World Series 2011 - Session 1 Jordan showed similar abilities as we had previously seen in Adrian, MI. He has above average foot speed and moves well laterally, displaying range in the MIF but needs to be more aggressive in attacking while playing through ground balls. Hands are soft, clean, and presented out front. Arm works and shows accuracy on his throws but will benefit by staying on a long toss program to aid in building more arm strength and carry. Offensively, Jordan shows a balanced approach with hands working through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. At the event, he was 6 for 12 with a 2B and inside the park HR as he can get around the bases. He is a very versatile player who wants to help his team win with a positive attitude.

04/17/2011 - College PREP - Adrian (Detroit), MI Jordan is an average sized infielder that will graduate this year. He shows good running speed with a 7.17 time in the sixty yard dash. Defensively he shows a live arm with life in his body and good aggressiveness to the ball. He has a bit of a high approach which causes him to field the ball deep in his stance at times. He also needs to work through the ball on his throws to help maximize arm strength and cut down the distance towards first. At the plate he shows a good pre-pitch setup with a solid load and good bat speed to the zone. He makes good use of his lower half as well. Areas to continue to work on are a shorter stride to help with balance and barrel accuracy, more rhythm to the ball and bat speed to improve on his power evaluations.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
