10/15/2008 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic - 2008 McBride showed athletic actions at 3B, highlighted by quick reactions and good lateral movement. The previous two times we saw him, he was at shortstop and handled himself well there. He also has ability to catch, making him a versatile defensive player. At the plate, he hit from a balanced stance and did a good job of staying back and using his quick hands and wrists. He can work to load his hands better and to track pitches longer, but overall has a good hitting foundation to build on. Overall, an athletic and versatile player.

06/01/2008 - College PREP - Atlanta, GA Keri is a strong athletic player. Although he also catches with a strong arm and soft hands, he is more suited for the infield at this time. At SS, Keri has life in his throws and he plays through the ground ball. His arm strength is above average and he has smooth hands. He turns the double play well and has a quick release. At the plate, Keri has power to the gaps and can hit the ball anywhere on the field. He has a line drive approach and quick hands. He is an above average hitter. With work on his blocking ability behind the plate, Keri can play two positions at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
