07/30/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Kody showed consistent ability both in the infield and at the plate. Defensively, he was aggressive to come get and played through balls generating momentum to throw. He had a strong arm and worked to improve his backhand consistency. Offensively, he generated good bat speed and hit with some authority when centered. He was balanced throughout the swing and got good extension through contact. Engaging his hands to launch and being more fluid with his swing will increase hit ability. In all - Kody ran a 6.95 sixty, worked hard and was a great kid that was willing to do anything to help the club.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
