07/28/2008 - College PREP - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Kris is a smaller player but he has ability. In the OF, Kris shows good range and takes great angles to the ball. He shorts arms the throws some and must create a longer arm path, but he plays through the ball well. At the plate, Kris has a line drive approach with some pop to the pull side. He needs to get his lower half involved in the swing to increase power, but he centers the ball well. Kris has potential at the next level with some hard work.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
