07/28/2008 - College PREP - Miami Shores, FL Manuel is a tall strong imposing pitcher. On the mound, his above average arm action provides him with plenty of arm strength. He has an above average CB and SL and a good feel for his CH. His delivery is well above average with balance and explosion. There is even more in his body and arm. His 2-seam FB has a ton of movement and he is accurate with all his pitches. This kid looks great on the mound and should be able to play at almost any program he wants at the next level. He also crushes the ball at the plate, but he is more of a pitcher at this point.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
