07/22/2008 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Matt shows as a two way player on the mound and behind the plate. He currently projects best behind the plate where his shows solid average abilities. Arm strength shows carry and accuracy into his target. Pop times are solid average and will drop if more arm strength is developed through a long toss program. Blocking skills are solid average as he shows good angles and utilizes his body to keep balls in front. Receiving skills are average and he needs to work to keep his body more solid and quiet through the process. At the plate, Mosko shows above average power to the pull side. Bat speed is quick through a level swing path. He does need to work to stay through the baseball more with the barrel. On the mound, abilities are average. He does show a solid delivery and command but needs some polish on his off speed pitches. Matt has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
