06/30/2008 - College PREP - Buffalo, NY Robert is a two player at SS and in the outfield. He currently projects best in the outfield where his arm works the best. Arm strength is near above average through a long, easy arm action. Throws display carry and accuracy into his target. Foot speed is solid average in showing some quickness. He utilizes his athletic feet in tracking down balls in the outfield. He does need to take better angles in working to get behind the baseball to play through with momentum to target. In the infield, Peting shows near average ability. He needs t o be more aggressive with his feet in coming to get the baseball in the infield. Glove is solid but deep at times allowing the baseball to get in on his body, dictating play. At the plate, Robert shows average ability. He does flash some bat speed but has some mechanical flaws in his approach. With some instruction and further work, hitting skills should improve quickly. Robert has some athletic actions and needs to concentrate work ethic in the outfield and at the plate.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
