06/08/2008 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Ross is a tall player with the potential to fill out. At SS, Ross shows an on line throw with soft hands and the ability to turn the double play. He can work on back handed plays, but he has a quick transfer and a good idea of how to play the position. At the plate, Ross has barrel accuracy and good use of the lower half. He pulls too many pitches and must learn to hit the other way but he has some pop to the pull side. With work on the offensive game, Ross can increase his overall rating.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
