06/17/2008 - College PREP - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Ryan is a left handed pitcher with a tall frame that shows some projection as it continues to fill out. Arm strength is below average and he needs to get on a strict long toss program to further develop. Command is average and will improve if some mechanical flaws in delivery are corrected, currently flies open. Off speed pitches are near average and do need some further development for the next level. Dittmar is young, 2010 graduate that still has time to further develop. He has some ability with a lot of room to improve.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
