10/26/2008 - College PREP - Stockton, CA Ryan is a young tall infielder with a projectable body. Although he also pitches with a good feel for his off speed pitches and a fluid delivery, he is more suited for the infield at this time. As he develops a long toss program and uses his legs more, his pitching grades should increase. At 3B, Ryan shows soft hands with a strong accurate throw. He can get even more out of his arm by staying lower and using his momentum towards the target during the throwing motion. He turns the double play well and he can defend against the slow roller. At the plate, Ryan has some pop to the pull side and bat speed. He extends through the ball well but he must learn to hit the ball where it is pitched. Ryan has size and plenty of upside. He is still young and should continue to improve.
