05/25/2008 - College PREP - Nashville, TN Scott has a solid body that is only going to get better as it continues to physically mature. Arm strength is solid average, displaying carry and accuracy into his target. He will better his pop times with a more efficient and quicker transfer and exchange. Arm arc is long from an over the top slot. Receiving and blocking skills are average and will benefit from further development and instruction. At the plate, Scott skills are average. Chokes the bat and cuts his swing off. Shows some balance but does not utilize his lower half at all. Once again, he will show better with some work and polish on his set up and approach at the plate. Scott flashes potential and a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
