09/13/2015 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Spencer is an athletic southpaw entering his senior season. On the bump, he throws from a hi 3/4-arm slot with a solid set of mechanics. He shows a mature mound presence with the ability to locate his secondary pitches. As he works to finish his pitches and refine his direction to the plate, he will see command and velo improve. At the plate, this LHH hits from a square base with fluidity in all his actions. He sprays to all fields when he keeps his hands inside and whips the bat through the zone. As he works to use his lower 1/2 more, he will see balls driven deep into the gaps. Spencer is a talented player with tools to take him to the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
