07/14/2008 - College PREP - Cedar Hill (DFW), TX Taylor is an outfielder with solid average fielding ability. He gets good jumps and tracks the ball well of the bat taking proper routes and angles. His feet are active as he goes back on balls well, but he does need to improve foot speed for the next level. Arm strength is average and he needs to get on a strict long toss program to continue to build. He does so a quick release with his feet and arm. At the plate, Peddicord shows average ability and power. His hitting grades will improve with instruction and corrections on approach and mechanics. He flashes bat speed and shows potential at the plate with some adjustments. Taylor has ability with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
