07/09/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Portland, ME Thomas is young, 2-way player with a solid frame. At 1B, Thomas reads the ball off the bat well, he has playable feet, and he keeps the ball in front of his body. He has a clean exchange and an accurate arm to his target. In the OF, Thomas hustles well to the ball, he makes the routine plays, and has some accuracy to his cut off man. At the plate, Thomas has a square set-up, good balance, and he swings aggressively. He loads well, makes consistent contact, and hits hard to the pull side. Thomas can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
